We'll, you could start by explaining what the problem is, with due regards to the fact that we have absolutely no idea what you are taling about.
You are posting in the section for bicycles. I cannot conceive any bike being expected to offer "resistance" other than through the brakes. There is a chance you are talking about an exercise bike but without being told, that's only an assumption.
On the basis that it is some kind of exercise bike, Hou do you expect us to search for relevant comments, questions and answers or the manual (all of which you could do for yourself) and then point you (hopefully) to where you could have found the answers if you'd looked, if you don't give us enough info - particularly the make and model.
