i just put on a 8 speed back wheel & gears but cannot
get it to go into top gear (1st) do i have to put a new chain on also the chain will not go on to the large
sprocket at the front. thank you
Screw out the stops on both mechs. The screws to screw out are marked L for low gear. These are the stop screws that adjust the mech so that the chain does not ride off the sprockets.
