Pressure switch faulty or tube from drum up to pressure switch has hole in it or inlet water valve is faulty and not shutting off when it supposed to.

Try adding the make and model you might get a response.

Could be pressure switch(flood prevention) fault if its flooding this shuts off water intake when enough has entered the machine.
This could be engineer repair but try website www.how-ro-mend.com
Search for pressure switch you may be able to do it yourself.
