how to reset Lcd panel after power outage accenta G4 mini?

When power was restored after an outage the LCD unit was displaying a line of black squares along the top of the display. The power and day lights are lit.The display does not respond to any input
Have tried using the user guide to set date/ time the display does not change from the black squares
