No video on Portable DVD player?

I have a TDE Model W17P0035 DVD,CD, MP3, that works, but audio only. Are there any resets I can do do get the sreen to come back to life?

If you look at the screen whilst the thing is trying to play and get the light "About right" can you see a faint picture on the screen, maybe using a torch? If you can, that would suggest the backlight or the inverter driving it has failed. Cheapo Chinese rubbish. Probably time to bin it and move on.
