Mend Terrys Starts Going Times

terrys through floor wheelchair lift stop starts going up ?

terry's through floor wheelchair lift stop starts going up approx 9 times ever time its use sometimes less ,have to keep re pressing start...comes down in one go but going up it stops all the time checked door checked battery power just dont have any idea what it could be hope some one could advice checks first before having to ask expensive service engineer out

its easy fix, the lift's bottom platform is dusty or dirty covering the sensors. give it a good clean with hoover or duster. you can raise lift to shoulder height than pull down the very bottom flap and clean around edges and clean any visible dust. sensors are located at the edges of flap. the current flow is disturbed due to dust and this causes the lift to stop and start.
