Crosby 7700 not heating up?

My Crosby 7700 is not heating up. The red 'ON' light is working as are the different timing buttons. No heat is coming through the main trouser area. Help please

Then the heating element will be defective and a repair very unlikely - who would do it?

Your realistic choices are to either buy a new one - perhaps invoke any warranty you might have - or resort to traditional ironing.
