Mend Flymo Multitrim Shaft Strimmer Drive

Wire wrapped around shaft under Strimmer spool drive?

Whilst strimming, my Flymo Multitrim Strimmer suddenly stopped. Close inspection showed a length of copper wire wrapped around the shaft UNDER the spool drive. I cannot get at it without removing spool container/drive. How can I do this, please?
