Mend Karcher Fill Turning Pressure

I have a karcher steamer the fill cap just keeps turning even with putting pressure on it anyone any ideas

I have exactly the same issue. Cap just spinning as if there is no thread. I don't think there is a technique to it. ..it's the same principle when unscrewing any cap with a thread. I've only used it 3 times!

Either the cap is defective or you're using the wrong technique - careful examination might provide a clue.
