Mend Stannah 420 Connect Red Metal

Connect transformer to track? Stannah 420?

How to connect transformer to track. Have a red and black wire what do I connect these to. Also have a metal strip the length of the track where does this fit. It has to do with charging the batteries at the bottom and top.
