whats good to replace a Scantronic 9800 with?

Hi I have a Scantronic 9800, I have been ok at fixing most things that have gone wrong replaced battery's, pir`s that fail but know its playing up big time.
1st it gave c7 error which is the panic alarm so I removed the circuit but fault remains. its then started showing rr which I believe is eprom reset, so I left it last night until I had more time.
overnight it went off again but with bf and the battery was over heating and had almost exploded with an acid smell all around the house.
I have removed battery.

My question is do you think I should bother trying to repair or just replace panel
if replace any one know of one about the same size and one i can reuse all the wiring to save having to pull up floor boards etc..
