veritas 5va alarm system?

All your answers appear to be is you either mocking peoples alarms or promoting them, lets think logical for a few seconds, if you wish to say nothing but ' rip it out buy a scantronic' then why dont you send your c.v off to cooper and apply for the role of a salesman, ditto, people are not asking for help buying a new alarm they are asking for help to repair what they have already got in otherwords 'trying to not have to spend hundreds on a minor fix' i fit scantronics alot and they have problems also, you seem to be replying to questions such as ' bell tamper ' witgh idiotic answers like ' rip it out and fit a scantronic' well durr its the bell not the panel, logic pal, logic...

Hi sandy, the veritas you have will be a year 1995-2000 type panel so it should be making a buzzing sound as its one of the first panels made, key in code this should show a tamper fault if the unset light is flashing then check pull out fuse in panel and check fuse board incase fuse has tripped, ignore the unprofessional fool reccomending you have the alarm replaced the panel you have were the best ones they ever made the pre 2002 ones are a load of crap, good luck

the alarm system was fitted when we moved in and it's rented property but we have to do the up keep to things

I don't use such rubbish only the good stuff. You should try the diy forums or electricians forum where the veritas belongs.

Why not opt for a scantronic 9651 you cannot go wrong with them.

Buy a new alarm such as the scantronic range. Veritas is one of the worst out there cheap and nasty and more trouble than its worth, wouldn't even use one to protect a dog house.
