Mend Induction Hob Fitted

can an induction hob be fitted in a stainless steel worktop?

i have an induction hob and am considering installing a stainless steel worktop. is this ok or will it get hot in the same way the pans do!
the hob has a stainless steel rim which doesn't get hot.
