Mend Atlanta Electric Switch Box

Atlanta inset electric fire will not switch onto 'heat'?

Both the remote and the control box will start the flame effect but when I press for heat the fire just goes off.
I have to then switch it off completely, but the same thing happens when it is switched on again.
Can anyone help please or does it mean a new fire.
