Broke off Inner door handle on Dyson washing Machine?

Hi there, by accident the inner door handle for my dyson washing machine broke off in my hand but the top part is still in the machine and my closthes are stuck in there. Please can you help. I see a silver thick spring load there but don't know how to prise it open. Help help help????
