Can a front loading washer be repaired if the rubber seal is broken?

The rubber seal in the front of my Frigidaire Gallery Front Loading Washing Machine came loose and I want to know if we or a repairman can glue it back so it is as good as new or will we always have a problem? Will it be more cost effective to repair it or buy a new washer?

the front door seal is not glued on it is held in place by 2 steel bands, an inner band attached to the outer tub ,the outer one is attached to the front panel, unless it split or perished just refit it back under the inner drum LIP all the way round refit the inner band clamp then tighten the clamp.
