Mend Ryobi RCT2800A Out Fuel Running

Ryobi grass trimmer pushing fuel out of fuel cap when running?

I have a Ryobi RCT2800A Scorpion grass trimmer which forces fuel out through the fuel tank cap when it is running. I have replaced the fuel cap with a genuine replacement cap but still have the same problem. Any ideas gratefully accepted.
