Saw the threads below, but they don't help me I'm afraid! My problem: when I touch the on/off sign on the hob, it just flashes and I can't do anything. No button works.
Tried the resetting thing below, on/off sign goes off and when I touch it again, it flashes and we are back to square one, nothing works.
Hi Vicki problem is not obvious, only 2 things spring to mind one was the cleaning of the glass which didnt work, the other is the child lock is on, if so hold the on/off button for about 5 seconds or so and if it is this, it will reset. other than that could be a fault with the pcb but would need diagnostic tools to check that Cheers

So Kenjo,
I tried cleaning the glass and there are no spillages on it whatsoever, still got the same issue though.
Any other ideas please?

If it is an induction hob some siemens hobs have sensors which detect if an object has been left on the glass surface eg spoon, utensil etc, these sensors can also pick up on a burnt spillage which may not be obvious. Try cleaning the glass really well.
