Mend Boiler Problem Hot Switched

Motorised valve for boiler?

I have a problem with my boiler- i only get hot water when the CH is switched on - i think the problem is with the motorised valve as I can only get this hot water when CH on otherwise nothing - my heating is a wireless system - where can i locate this valve and should it be completely replaced? or does it just need to be cleaned?
