Fan or pump noise?

vaillant ecotec plus fan or pump noise geting to hot 3 years old

The green light was constantly on. I have done as you suggested and its now out. Hopefully its peacefull nights from now on.

Look at the display, on a pro, is the green light permanantly on? This would be the cause, the hot water is on pre-heat (if you have the bigger display there would be a 'C' displayed in the window).

To turn it off, turn the top dial (hot water) all the way down (anti clockwise), the green light will go out or the C will flash and disapppear.
Now turn the hot water dial back to the temperature, you require.
