Mend Small Piece Inside

closing the window?

I have a double hung window. Over the summer i put the AC in it. Now, the small metal piece inside the lip on the left hand side is now 1 inch above the right. How can i lower it so it matches and my window can shut normally?

Not sure I understand question, if your talking about the hinge you will need a new pair fitted.
