How can I fix my one year old Zanussi ZWD1260W washer/dryer door seal????

I couldn't open the washer/dryer door. I eventually got it to open. I undid the two screws on the inside fastener and took the white plastic fastener piece off to have a look at it to see if it was faulty. It looked ok.
I began to screw it back on. It was then I realised that the back attachment had slipped down. I proceeded to remove the seal from the back. A circular spring came off.
I retreived the attachment which was hanging on wires. I screwed the plastic fastener piece back.
I tried to replace the seal, but couldn't. A circular spring had come off. I cannot get it back onto the seal and replace the seal.
On heinsight, I should have just removed the plastic circular fastener off the front and removed a small secttion of the seal at the front to retrieve the fastener attachment, but I wrongly removed the back of the seal and pulled it out together with the circular spring. Now I can't get it back on.
I can't afford to get an engineer out. PLEASE HELP ME.
