Mountfield 1438 starter motor not working?

When I attempt to start my mower, the starter motor does not work or turn. I have recharged the battery and that has not made any difference.

All of the safety cut outs are working correctly, as i can hear the solenoid/contactor click and when i try to start the mower in gear the solenoid does not click.
