Mend Simpson 550 Dryer Clothes Smell

Simpson Sirocco 550?

My drier seems very hot on the top (outside) of the drier, and the clothes don't dry. The drier seems to smell very hot.

On the back is a long plastic cover. Take it off and inside is a thin belt that drives the fan. It will be broken or possibly just come off the pulley. Buy & fit a new one if yours has broken. Just stretch it over the two pulleys. No adjustment required. Without the belt you will not get any air flow through the machine.
