Mend Hoover AAA1600 Appliance Repair Washing Machine

Hoover AAA1600 earth wire on drum broken?

Having taken the back plate off the machine, the earth wire is loose and dangling. It looks like its "home" on back of drum is broken off.Can I fix it or is it new machine time?
