why can I not click on unsubscribe and other links?

I forgot this detail:

Many web-mail providers disable all links from messages from recognised SPAMMERS, and messages resembling SPAM, to protect you from falling victim to those peoples.

You SHOULD NEVER EVER use any unsuscribe link on any unsolicited commercial e-mail (beter known as SPAM).
Those links are all fake only used to confirm that your address is valid and active and that you regularly read SPAM. It tell those unscrupulous peoples that you may actualy buy something from them... It also make your e-mail address more valuable: They receive more cash when they sel it to others.

Using those links only bring you MORE SPAM.

Another alternative to internet explorer: Firefox.
Also faster and safer that IE.

Had the same trouble myself. Solved it when I downloaded Google Chrome and made it my default browser. Its much faster and less vulnerable than Google Chrome. It will transfer all your existing 'favourites' and you can still keep I E on your system without conflict.

Probably blocked by your firewall, sometimes you can right click the email to enable pictures and links
