you need to undo the filter then push it backwards and forwards until hopefully it comes out.I have had to break them out due to people not cleaning them regular.Manifold filter housings are reasonably priced should you break it and its held on with screws at the front.you could always take the whole filter housing off the machine by unscrewing it and disconnecting all the hoses from it.this way you get access to the back end and top of filter
