Weak Signal in TVonics DVR 150?

I recently bought this model from ebay. All tuned in ok but failing to record message that pops up says signal too weak to record.
Any ideas how to improve/resolve my issue?

Freeview PVRs need a good signal in order to function correctly. So you need a correctly aligned antenna (aerial) with good connectors. Check these first.
