Mend Hoover VHC380 Works Couple Minutes

How can i fix my hoover tumble dryer vhc380 it starts and when it needs to ?

Hoover vhc380 works for a couple of minutes and gets very hot but when it needs to go into reverse it stops and makes a noise as though its stuck but smells of burning. What can I do
