Hoover hed 6612 is stuck in error mode and will not reset?

My Hoover hed 6612 is stuck in error mode and will not reset.

Last week it broke down completely, leaking water on the floor the works. I called an engineer and he said that a pipe had become disconnected from the pump, (hence the leaking water) and the appliance had gone into 'flood protection mode' He re-connected the pipe and advised me to leave it for a couple of days to dry out, which I did. However when I turned it on after waiting for a couple of days I found that the appliance is still in error mode. All 4 lights are on on the front of the dishwasher and it bleeps for around 3 minutes. I can also hear the pump working this carries on for about 5 minutes before turning itself off. then the machine just sits there with the lights on. If I turn the appliance off and try again it does them same thing.

I have called the engineer who came out the other day he talked me through the steps to re-set the dishwasher which I did with no success. I'm trying to get him to come back to have a look, but he's giving me the run around.... I don't want to try another engineer as I've already paid out £65 and don't want to be throwing good money after bad.

Please, please can anyone help?????
