First make sure power is off & plug out of wall socket. Remove timer knob by pressing hard down with palm of your hand & turn knob anti clockwise. It will unscrew. Some are very tight but it will unscrew. Under the knob is a circlip holding a white plastic ring with teeth & a spring. Remove them and then the bezel (the round part with the indicator mark on it.) Under the bezel is 2 screws which hold the timer to the panel. Before removing the screws, open the panel & on the back of the timer pull off all the wires clipped on (about 12 or 13) Remove the screws and take old timer out. Put new timer in & secure with the 2 screws. Now put all the wires back on. Each wire has a letter on the plastic insulation just above the end clip. They will have things like PU, LD, A, P1, CV, HV etc. Each tab on the timer that needs a wire will have the same letter next to it. So you just do one wire at a time & look for the letters on the wire i.e. LD & put that wire on the tab marked LD. The old timer was probably also colour coded to match the wire. i.e. A will be on a brown wire & tab A will have a brown colour highlighting the A. Most of the new timers don't have a colour coded tab to help you. Just have to go by the letters but you can refer to the old timer. Look for the colour & that will give you an idea were to look on the new timer. When all wires are on & double checked you haven't missed one, close the panel. Put bezel back on then spring and white plastic ring then circlip. Finally screw knob back on clockwise. Good luck. Any problems come back & ask.
