Pressure foot down but materal is still moving?

Kenmore model 385.1584180. I have pressure foot in down position but material is not being held in place. It keeps moving around too much to sew a straight line. I've tried everything and can't get foot lower to keep fabric in place.

Hello Sue,
You do not have enough pressure on the foot, adjust the pressure dial or screw, screw it downwards or turn in to a higher number if you have a dial.
