When I turn on the machine (light too at the same time), the foot and feed start moving.....and it will not stop until I turn it off. Took it to Austin for repairs; however, the gentlemen there said it needed a new "board" and that there were none available-discontinued... I am sewing on a Montgomery Ward Signature machine I bought in 1959 and it is still working to this day and I can't imagine a machine made in 1978 is already discontinued???? Help.
few ways to see if it is the footcontrol if you are little bit technical,i normally open footcontrol and loosen one or both wires inside,put power back on(be very carefull as open wires will have power )and see if problem persist.like i said before,try and find shop that repair pc boards and ask for second opinion,these guys normally know what each component suppose to do

not sure what foot to talking about but if needle bar and motor is running without using foot control the problem is inside footcontrol,noise surpressor need to be removed or replaced.sure you can find a pcboard repair center in your area that may be able to inspect and repair
