How to switch off Tamper light permanently on in Accenta after fuse change?
The lights on the dial of an Accenta 8 Burglar Alarm system went off. Checked and replaced a blown fuse in the main control box and lights came back with Tamper light on. Now the Tamper light is permanently on. I opened the control box when the siren started. Quickly went to the dial and keyed in our code and the siren stopped and Tamper light went off. But as soon as I pressed RESET button the Tamper light came back and staying on permanently. Cannot get back Day light and so cannot set alarm. Will somebody please help?
since u had a blown fuse, have u checked all circuits for a cut cable ??fuse blow for reason mate, and as alarm guy said, check for the tamper it may be a cut cable ,you need to buy yourself a good test meter,or get an engineer in,tamper fault very easy to find if you use a mythical approach,or your battery may be faulty

Then trace the tamper fault.

1. I tested fuse as follows. After switching off mains, removed the particular fuse supplying to dial (located from Engineer’s Manual) and checked continuity with torch batteries. There was no continuity. Bought a new fuse with same specs as stated in Engineer’s manual. Checked its continuity which was ok. Replaced this in the control panel and then closed the panel by screwing in its lid. Switched on mains and the lights came back on the dial. But the Tamper light was permanently on.
2.The battery is ok which I checked by disconnecting and then reconnectin with mains off. The siren started after reconnecting battery with mains off.

Does sound like a battery fault.
How did you check the fuse?
Yes, beware of mains voltages.

At the very least it's going to need a new battery,
Suggest you get an engineer in because the power up method can be dangerous for a none pro,
Don't want you with your hands inside the control panel with mains power there,as it needs powering up mains first then battery.
Safer if you pay a pro mate :)
