Astra 1.7 cdti ran out of fuel?

There is an electric fuel pump in the tank turn the ignition on and off for atleast 15 seconds each time. You should hear the fuel return back to the fuel tank when you do the filter is full but you will need to crack the injector pipes with plenty of rags underneath them to catch the fuel while you crank the engine over until fuel comes out of each injector locking each one off as the fuel comes out. Once all have been bleed securly tighten each injector pipe and the engine should start as normal (Don't run out of fuel is the best idea)

I would take the top off your filter and fill manually with clean diesel
