Mend Hoover Optima Washing Machine Programme Instructions

How can I cancel the programme on my Hoover Optima?

Tried following manual instructions to change or cancel the programme but neither will work. Sometimes selects the wrong programmes. 44 min & 29 min cycles do not dispaly when selected.
