Mend Peugeot 406 Starting Start Key

peugeot 406 1.8 petrol starting problem?

I have a peugeot 1.8 petrol won"t start with key just turns over.But will start with a tow this happend after heavy rain.Sprayed every thing with wd40 but still nothing.Been like this for 4 days now can you help thanks.
