Veritas alarm?

We have alarm fitted in our new home which i have zwitced back on as we would like to use it,but every time i open the front door the alarm goes off when set.Why???

No it isn't new nor do i need the manual and yes i'am using the exit route.I leave it sets when I return alarm sounds when I open door, do you know what's wrong with it?

is this a brand new alarm?have you the user manual?
it should tell you if you are using the right entry route,
if it is indeed the front door,check there is no beam in the hall,you could have a stuck door contact,that would mean if there is a beam beam in hall,it will be on the entry route,so if the door contact has frozen on
the alarm will trip as soon as you open the front door ,
check door contact

It's not a "chime" the alarm goes off straight away,it doesn't allow me time to enter through door and get code into keypad.But thanks for replying.
