No offence taken but if it was IN ENG it would show E1/E2.
ENG ON SITE is the banner message left after an engineer has exited engineering.
An M series in engineers could show many things but ENG on SITE could be on a second keypad if another was in use, similar to the TS900/2200/2500.
But we are told this is a TS700 so the hypothesis is correct in the first paragraph.
So either set and unset, or enter code and enter then exit user menu or as above enter code and press ESC to reset to time display.

We used to have a game, see who could programme a redcared TS700 the fastest, without errors. We got it down to less than 10 seconds as most defaults are fine, but this included part sets too.

It wont work on the new stuff, the processor does not allow "speed programming" hence I usually used the A to B USB lead and the Laptop. Then you could use the printout for the office documentation.
Or dial into one when on call :P

I think that after menvier took over, tunstall went into aids for healthcare and alarms and gadgets for the elderly and disabled gts.

I have seen lots of these aids branded tunstall, I think they were established in 1954 then as you know menvier took over.

If my memory serves me correctly Alarm , entering code then pressing [ESC] within the specified time is merely a resetting procedure.

I'am pretty sure that the correct insertion of any recognised user codes should clear the message and display the time,

me thinking op has been given wrong code, or simply doesn't know it. Me also thinks that the system has been left in engineering to cancel out the tamper circuits or other fault related issue.

You know as well as I matey that we seldom get the full story,he'll that's "how to mend it" for ya :) ,

Ps me are NOT in any shape or form undermineing your post here matey :)...

Someone has used "engineering" it`s telling you that.
Put your code in and press ESC within 5 seconds.

It's how it's designed.

That message WILL clear when you enter a valid user code.

That's strange, that message should clear when you enter a valid user code.Does the keypad respond,ie beep when you pop your code in?.

Is the keypad responding to your presses at all ?,

You do have a valid user code for this system, don't you?.
