do this test to see if timing is in.remove needle plate by pressing on right hand rear corner and lift out.turn handwheel and observe needle eye in relation with hook point.hook point should be just above needle eye and needle should almost touch hook point.needle bar should be in center position during this test.you can also loosen needle and move it one mm done,try zig zag again if this help you can use it like this until you can get timing set properly,always make sure tension is set correctly
