Ford Fiesta P reg 1996 ignition lights up but starter motor doesnt turn?

check the small wire on the starter,when you try and crank over you should get 12volts there,if you have 12v on the large terminal on the starter then it is probably your starter that is at fault,also check your earth straps from engine to body
