has my starter motor gone?

That "tick" sounds like its not getting enuf power to start,it may not be the starter yet!Try again to jump start either with another vehicle or new leads,when leads are connected try the horn,if u get quiet sound tailing away then power is NOT getting to your car & it will not start (get new leads) . if horn is loud & clear for 10 seconds or more then u have power & ure starter is indeed goosed.
