i have an R reg ford escort 1.8 turbo diesel that wont start it has had a reconditioned starter motor and a new engine in it but wont start it was running fine the other day but when i went to start it the next day it wouldnt start.when i try to start it all i get is a clicking noise but nothing else.does anyone have any idea what up with it and why it wont start thanks for any help with this matter . cheap test.take the black lead from a set of jump leads and connect it to battery- and engine clean metal and see if that helps just in case engine fitter screwed up the engine earth.

9 times out of 10 this means your battery is dead try another batt

could be flat battery /alternater not charging battery due to broken wire at the radiator cross member
