Mend MTD 48" Starting Lawn Mower

starting a lawn mower?

I have a Yard Machines MTD 48" cut riding mower, and it is beginning to cause trouble when starting. Sometimes it will not start unless I pull and release the stick control for the blades, several times. The other day, I thought it was completely through starting, but it finally did. Any ideas
