reconnect belt?

Reading between the lines here Dave if the drum grates on spin and the belt gets thrown off probably the drum bearings are gone. Cheers

To check for items hold torch tight onto drum inside facing down, then rotate drum with torch left to right a little repeatedly the small holes in the drum will then appear to merge and give you better vision through them. What makes you think there is something in the drum? To refit belt, fit it on the motor pulley first then on the drum pulley as far as you can then rotate drum pulley whilst stopping the belt from comming off MIND YOUR FINGERS! Cheers
