My washing machine smells,and the clothes smell,help?

Have used two dyson descaler,deodarants to be rid of smell. Open my door half hour after being done,and smells terrible. Have a plumber calling 26th,to see if its drains,which don't appear to be blocked,as far as I can see. But I am a lady,with no experience ever,of having this problem. Washing machine is 3 years old.Thank you for your help. Smell is terrible,and if I leave the machine door open,it fills my kitchen. chrissy.

The smell will very probably be bacteria - either in the pipework of the machine or from the drains - in my house when the w/machine smells it's from the drains - if you have an inspection pit outside then lift the lid and check if the drain is clear.

Otherwise the machine needs to be run on the hottest wash you can manage - maybe twice - possibly with some vinegar or bleach to kill those smelly bugs.

If you usually run the machine on the colder washes then the bacteria may not be killed off.

If the smell is strong then my bet is the drains but that's just based on personal experience.
