WF740 Hotpoint washing machine ?

My wife has noticed that there's a musty smell coming out of the machine and making the clothes smell, I've checked the outlet pipes and they are fine with no smell, the smell seems to be coming from inside the drum is this possible or is there a way of cleaning it out.
The machine was purchased in 2006 and has never caused us any faults in all this time.
