Mend Miele G 640 Dishwasher Water Intake

miele premier g640?

we switch the machine on it appears to take in water
then it does not make any further progress, then the inlet/outlet light flashes. I have cleaned filter, switched
the machine off and on again still the same problem. it just makes a whirring noise
