Mend TomTom GO 910 Charging Light Red Battery

my TomTom GO 910 charging light is on but screen shows red battery ?

i checked connections with base cleaned it already but no difference. unit charging green light is on but screen shows red blinking battery and moment later dies. i dont know if it is connector issue or some other problem with a battery or else. is this common issue or not? i had this for 5 years, really satisfied never had problems until now.
