i have a jvc digital video camcorder GR-D77OU. how can i fix it?

it says that it is in safeguard mode and to eject and reinsert tape... i can get the tape cover to come up but the tape itself will not eject...we have tried millions of times and even our friends have tried.... and we have also taken the battery off and put it back on and turned the cam off and turn it back on.. same issue.... also when i have the battery pack in it... and it is not plugged in... the red light still comes on and says its charging.... but its not even plugged in but i dont mind that so much as i cant use the camera due to this safeguard mode its in and i cant eject the darn tape... like it just wont eject.
